Pulse Canada is the national not-for-profit association representing over 25,000 growers, and 100 companies involved in trade and processing of Canadian pulses, including peas, lentils, dry beans, faba beans, and chickpeas.
Our Market Innovation team helps companies capitalize on the benefits of Canadian pulses by facilitating research and creating conditions to showcase the quality, functionality, nutrition and sustainability of Canadian pulses.

We bring together stakeholders to collectively help the sector to overcome barriers and explore the sustainability, nutrition, quality and performance of pulses by:
- Facilitating pre-competitive research that addresses foundational questions and common challenges facing the industry
- Conducting applied technical projects designed to unlock new opportunities for pulses and pulse ingredients
- Managing a Science and Technical Industry Program (STIP), enabling processors and food industry to co-invest, guide, and direct shared technical projects that are aligned with commercial needs.
